About Us, Our Approach & Values
About Us
At Treasured Pets Foundation, we believe our pets and companion animals are not property—they are family. They love us, care for us in their unique way, and deserve the same in return.
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in the St. Petersburg–Clearwater, Florida area, created for one purpose: to end Economic Euthanasia. We rely entirely on donations, grants, and fundraising to drive our mission forward.
Our Approach
Unlike traditional animal welfare organizations that use limited, single-track solutions, we address Economic Euthanasia from every angle—economic, educational, systemic, and emotional. We collaborate with all relevant stakeholders and focus exclusively on this devastating issue.
Treasured Pets is the only nonprofit 100% dedicated to eliminating Economic Euthanasia. We're building a compassionate future where no animal is put down simply because their guardian can’t afford care.
What Drives Us
Knowledge-Led. Value-Driven.
Before launching, we spent years researching the root causes of Economic Euthanasia. That deep understanding shapes our strategy, advocacy, and every decision we make.
We’re here to lead with compassion, facts, and bold action.

Our Core Values
Guardianship, Not Ownership
We don't "own" animals—we cherish them. We are their guardians, not their masters.Respect for All Life
Every animal deserves to be treated with dignity, just as humans are.Solidarity Over Charity
Real change happens when we stand together, not from handouts but from shared responsibility.Empathy and Equity
We support people and pets facing the harshest barriers to care, ensuring a just and equitable system for all.Transparency and Truth
We shine a light on the issue of Economic Euthanasia, empowering people with knowledge and tools to make change.
Our Beliefs
It’s not just about money.
Economic Euthanasia stems from systemic gaps, lack of awareness, and fragmented solutions—not just financial hardship. We must expose the problem.
Most pet guardians aren't even aware that Economic Euthanasia exists. We’re here to educate and inspire action.Solutions start at the roots.
We focus on causes, not symptoms, driving change from the ground up.Change is possible.
Together, we can reverse the trend. Just as we don’t euthanize humans for lack of funds, we shouldn’t do so with animals.
